ABOUT US

American Academy for Early Education is a Keystone Stars affiliated Child Care Center for children ages 6 weeks to 13 years, that is located in North Philadelphia. Our mission is to promote educational, physical, social and emotional development in a safe, diverse and stimulating environment. Through acquired knowledge, community resources, and the passion to make a difference, American Academy for Early Education offers services and programs with your child and family in mind. We offer an after school program to keep our students motivated. Teachers reinforce skills learned throughout the day and assist with homework. In addition, transportation is available from select schools in the area. Our center offers a summer full of exciting and engaging activities as well as adventurous field trips!

CURRICULUM

American Academy for Early Education supports many different approaches to learning through the Creative Curriculum. The Creative Curriculum is research-based and supports the development of the whole child. High-quality, comprehensive resources empower educators to intentionally teach and care for our youngest learners during the most critical and formative years of development.

NUTRITION

American Academy for Early Education provides well balanced, nutritious meals and snacks to all children that attend our center free of charge to our families. We ensure that our menus meet the nutrition standards of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. In addition to serving your child great food, we teach them to develop healthy eating habits.

HEALTH & SAFETY

The health and safety of our children and families is always our highest priority. To mitigate the risks of COVID-19 while children are in our care, we have adopted additional health and safety measures based on CDC guidelines, state and local regulations, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Staff members wear facial coverings while caring for children. We screen temperatures of staff and children. Staff members are the only adults permitted to enter the building. Pick up and drop off take place outside the childcare space. We continue our focus on handwashing and disinfecting throughout the day. Please contact administration if you have any questions.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

The daycare facility is closed in the event of extreme weather conditions such as snow/sleet/ice, or extreme heat index. We follow the closing policy of the Philadelphia School System, which also applies, to early dismissal or late openings. Please listen to your local news station for school closings. We will also post weather updates on our Facebook page.
